Union Lake, Michigan: A Pass Educational Group, LLC is excited to announce a partnership with the Ohio Small and Rural Collaborative. Together, A Pass Educational Group, LLC (A Pass) and the Ohio Small and Rural Collaborative (OSRC) plan to nurture tomorrow’s leaders in education and provide them with the best possible resources.
A Pass leadership recently had the opportunity to travel to Ohio and meet with Kirk Koennecke, Executive Director of OSRC, to learn more about the unique needs of educators in the area. Andrew Pass, company founder and CEO, noted, “I am thrilled that A Pass will be able to effectively work with small districts, districts that all too often cannot have their individual needs met, through our partnership with OSRC.” Andy was joined by Pauline Valvo, business development manager, who added, “We are very excited to be partnering with the OSRC, because we love to support small and rural school districts by customizing educational and professional development resources, and we’re impressed by the progressive approach the collaborative is taking to meeting the needs of their districts.”
The Ohio Small and Rural Collaborative represents 40 member districts across the state. As of 2013, the Ohio Department of Education typology study classified 431 school districts–the majority in the state–as small or rural by population. 665,000 students are served in rural and small town settings. Thousands more open enroll to suburban or urban districts as well. 20 rural and small districts are considered exemplars based on their typology. Many of Ohio’s leading districts can provide resources to colleagues and students at the local, state, and national level. The need for small and rural access to resources, programming, advocacy, and networking has never been greater. Learn more about the OSRC by visiting https://ohiosrc.org/.
