Our Core Values

Andy Pass, our founder and CEO, shares about the A Pass core values.

The A Pass Educational Group team has gone through an intensive process to articulate the core values that guide our work. Our team has identified six foundational values. I am thrilled to share them with you.

Our Humanities director recently wrote to our HR coordinator, “I wanted to reach out and let you know that we received very positive feedback from one of our newest clients…The success of this project can be related, in no small part, to your efforts in helping us keep the project staffed with able contractors. As you might not always see the fruits of your efforts, I hope you will accept our very sincerest thanks for a job well done!”

I am extremely proud that our colleagues have positive attitudes about themselves, their work, their colleagues, and our clients. We like each other and know that our team has the ability to achieve incredible results.

Thus our first value is…

Emanate Positivity

We are able to be positive because we know that together we can do great things. A Pass is a virtual company. We do not even have a physical office. Yet, few companies could match our intense communal structure or our ability to work as a team. On a daily basis, employees and contractors work with one another to develop the highest quality content. We encourage people to get to know one another not just as colleagues but also as people and friends through phone calls, video conferences, and more. We even hold virtual celebrations such as baby showers and holiday parties.

As the CEO of A Pass, one of the things that I am most proud of is the fact that I speak to our contractors as often as possible. A Pass relies upon our contractors and employees to do high quality work and we greatly value their participation in our company. At A Pass we know that working together produces the greatest result.

Build a Community

Work as a Team

Great communities and superior teamwork depend upon amazing communication and responsiveness. A Pass’ entire business model requires us to be highly skilled at listening to our clients’ wants and needs so that we can turn their educational content visions into reality. As important as it is to listen to our clients, we must also listen to one another. The greatest companies constantly strive for improvement. This improvement requires everyone to continually exchange ideas.

In a virtual company, it is imperative to not only communicate but to do so quickly.  Sometimes our response times even surprise clients. One client recently wrote, “As usual you have the quickest response of anyone I know … always appreciated!”  We know that our clients, colleagues, and contractors depend on our quick and accurate responses to get their work done.

Be Communicative

and Responsive

Educational and training content development stands at the center of what our community does together.  It is the substance of our communication, the fabric of our work lives. A Pass takes the specifications and objectives of our clients and makes them our own to become their back office content development center.  Our clients expect us to bring their educational content visions to life, and it is very important to us that we are able to do so.

Every detail matters; in order to make sure that an assessment item hits the right standard or competency, that a contractor’s address is right, that an employee knows that their colleagues care about them on their birthday, that a partner sees that we care as much about the success of their project as they do, and in so many other small instances that add up to accomplishing our goals, it’s the details that make the difference.

Ensure Quality

of Every Detail

As A Pass’ CEO, I am honored every time a client asks us to work with them. I know that clients spend money, an important resource, to have us develop content for them. They need the content developed right the first time and at the lowest possible cost.

I often tell new clients that I do not like to have first conversations with new clients.  Rather, I prefer to have the tenth or twentieth conversation with clients, after they have learned that they can trust us.  I know that they will only trust us if they know that they can trust our work.

Build Trust

Through Reliability

I am truly honored that many of the most respected organizations in education and training have come to see A Pass as a valued partner. Our company has grown steadily over the last decade. We have developed a great reputation. We could allow ourselves to think that we have done what’s necessary, have made it, and can now relax.

But, that is not what we are about. Instead we seek to continuously develop ever greater competencies that will enable us to better meet the needs of our clients.  The A Pass team loves it when a client asks us to do something that they know will be difficult to accomplish. We become excited when a client tells us that they want to give it another try but that they have never had success working with a vendor.  When we hear this, we are determined to succeed and it shows.
